Customs seize cigarettes

CUSTOMS officers from yesterday seized 32,800 cigarettes at Dublin Airport with an estimated retail value of €14,000.

A 40-year-old male, resident in Northern Ireland, was searched by officers having arrived on a flight from Dubai.

The cigarettes were found in two suitcases.

He was arrested and remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court next Tuesday.
