CIT gets new governing chair

EMC Ireland’s managing director Bob Savage is to be the new chairman of Cork Institute of Technology’s governing body.

A graduate in electronic engineering of the college, Mr Savage has strong knowledge of its activities through the close working relationship between CIT and the information storage company.

His appointment to the five-year role by Education Minister Ruairi Quinn sees him replace Dr Paddy Caffrey.
