Fashion stylist pleads for help to recover lost jewels

FASHION stylist Celia Holman Lee yesterday spoke of her distress at losing precious jewellery on a night out.

She believes she may have left her handbag on a car roof before it moved off.

The lost items include a five-stone diamond, a 60th birthday present.

The jewellery was in a handbag she lost early on Sunday morning as she left a restaurant in Limerick.

The jewellery also includes a Cartier watch, a blue sapphire diamond ring and a gold bracelet.

A clearly distressed Celia said: “I had left The Cornerstone restaurant in Thomas Street after a night out with my husband Ger at around 12.30am on Sunday. I was getting into the car when I caught my hand on the door and it really hurt and started to swell up. I was in pain and I took off all my rings and my watch and bracelet and put them in my bag and was rubbing my fingers to ease the pain.”

Celia believes she may have placed the handbag on the roof of the car.

She said: “I am very, very upset and really heartbroken and very angry with myself in the way I lost my bag with all my jewellery.”

She has reported the loss to Gardaí at Henry Street.

Celia said: “I am hoping gardaí can look at CCTV footage and hopefully we will get something from that. I would appeal to whoever found the bag and jewellery to contact me. There will be a reward.”
