A DRUNK who verbally abused gardaí dealing with a public order problem was remanded in custody for a week.

Threat to ‘kick gardaí’s heads’

Paul Nagle, aged 31, told gardaí he would “kick the head off them” when they arrested him for breaching a barring order from his parents’ house in Cork early yesterday.

Garda Michael Walsh testified that Nagle was drunk and sitting on the doorstep of the family home. His intoxication and his presence at the house breached bail conditions for a previous offence.
