Horse with no name contest

HE’S four, a pure-bred Irish draught gelding, the newest recruit to the Garda Mounted Unit — and he needs a name.

Sponsors HSI and the Garda unit are hoping to spur the public into naming the horse, which will be stabled at Áras an Uachtaráin.

The competition winner will be invited to attend the hand-over of the horse by HSI on Thursday, June 23. Entrants should email suggested names and the reason for their selection to lskelton@horsesport ireland.ie.
