A YOUNG child is recovering in hospital after being thrown from a car that was involved in crash with another vehicle at a crossroads in Co Cork.

The 5-year-old girl was rushed to Cork University Hospital following the accident at a crossroads near Kanturk last Sunday night.

Despite her injuries, gardaí say that the girl is in a stable condition in hospital and it is hoped that she will make a full recovery.
