Raider locks woman in shed as baby is left in house

A MOTHER of a young baby was locked in a garden shed while a masked intruder raided her house with her six-month- old infant inside.

The baby was not injured and was rescued after the mother managed to alert neighbours at her house in east Galway.

Gardaí have appealed for help in catching the culprit who confronted the woman in her house on Saturday morning.
