Irish Examiner wins health award

THE Irish Examiner has collected another award for its investigation into suicide.

The 20-page investigation supplement on suicide and its Let’s Talk Suicide booklet, both of which were distributed with the newspaper, won the Best Health Communication Through Journalism category at the annual Crystal Clear MSD Health Literacy Awards.

“The Irish Examiner Let’s Talk Suicide booklet was a valuable contribution to responsible media coverage of what is a very important social issue in Ireland,” said Sandra Hogan, Aware communications manager.
