Gardaí probe Tralee sex assault allegations

AN alleged sexual assault on a woman on a street close to the centre of Tralee, Co Kerry, is being investigated by gardaí.

The alleged incident took place at Brandon Place, a residential area, at about 10pm on Good Friday. The street has several apartment buildings, with a lot of passing traffic.

The street was quiet at the time, with few, if any, people around when the incident took place in what has been described as an open space. The woman was taken to the sexual assault treatment unit in Kerry General Hospital, Tralee.
