MacGowan up for Brit award

HELLRAISING singer Shane MacGowan is in the running to land a Classical Brit Award.

The Pogues frontman features on a hit album by The Priests, performing a version of Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth.

MacGowan’s unlikely pairing with the group — all ordained Catholic priests — took place last year. The group are up for best album with their third release Noel, against, among others, Aled Jones and a group of singing nuns.
