JUSTICE Minister Alan Shatter launched a scathing attack on Micheál Martin over his response to the Moriarty Tribunal report claiming the Fianna Fáil leader had engaged in “nauseating hypocrisy”.

As the debate on the phone licence probe rumbled on, Mr Shatter hit back at criticism of his party by suggesting Mr Martin had emerged from “a political twilight zone suffering from amnesia”.

Staunchly defending Fine Gael’s handling of the report’s findings, he noted political donations that had been previously made to Fianna Fáil.
