Airport closed until 4pm today

CORK AIRPORT’S main runway will remain closed until 4pm today as a result of the horrific plane crash which killed six people.

Aer Lingus yesterday offered its deepest sympathy to friends and families of the those affected by the accident. The airline also advised customers of a number of changes to its schedule.

Customers planning to travel to and from Cork Airport today are advised that a number of Aer Lingus flights have been cancelled and a number of flights will operate from Shannon Airport instead of Cork.
