Man faces sex assault charges

A 40-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with sexually assaulting four females over a 10-year period in a west of Ireland town.

The man, who cannot be named, appeared before Loughrea District Court in Co Galway yesterday.

He faces 25 charges of sexually assaulting four females on dates between May 1996 and May 2006.

Supt. Enda Walsh said they hoped to be in a position to serve the book of evidence in April.

Judge Browne remanded the accused on continuing bail to appear before Loughrea District Court on April 13.
