Mary returns home to grab some groceries

X FACTOR star Mary Byrne was back on the till in Tesco in Ballyfermot yesterday and even needed to grab a few groceries herself as she has “nothing in” after her rise to stardom on the British show.

Ballyfermot’s newest celebrity was treated to a rousing reception by locals and said she was looking forward to spending some time relaxing over Christmas with her friends and family.

As for long-term plans, Mary said she had been told she would get to make an album and would take part in the X Factor tour followed by a tour of Ireland. The Dubliner is believed to have signed a recording deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco label.
