Arctic weather claims victim

A MAN found dead outside his home in Co. Mayo is the latest victim of the arctic weather.

The body of John McCann, a single man in his late forties, was discovered lying in snow and ice at Barnacoogue, Swinford, a short distance from Knock Airport.

A post mortem on Mr McCann, who lived alone, is to be carried out today at Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar.
