FF switch tactic to allow Dáil vote on bailout deal

THE Government has changed its tune and decided to allow the Dáil to vote on the substance of the EU/IMF bailout package.

The Fianna Fáil parliamentary party meeting agreed to place a motion supporting the deal before Dáil next week to “add political legitimacy to the agreement”.

This is likely to be threshed out on Wednesday.
