Geoghegan-Quinn named Irish Tatler woman of the year

THE Irish Tatler Women of the Year Awards were announced at a star-studded event where European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science Máire Geoghegan-Quinn was declared the woman of the year 2010.

Geoghegan-Quinn named Irish Tatler woman of the year

The awards recognise leading Irish women from business, media and entertainment as well as special achievements.

The Irish Tatler gave legendary Maureen O’Hara its hall of fame award while the media award went to Claire Byrne.

A sports award also went to female boxer Katie Taylor while Imelda May took the music award.
