FOR much of the last five years the HSE was tasked with overseeing – managing and administering if you will – a €60 million training programme.

The full implications of the mismanagement and profligacy of the infamous SKILL health training fund will continue to emerge through various investigations in the weeks ahead.

However, it is indisputable that the health body stood by in blissful ignorance while huge chunks of the money were wasted and corporate governance was breached.
