Culinary treats at reduced rates

MANY of the top restaurants in Limerick and the Shannon region will take part in a winter culinary adventure in the mid-west.

Culinary treats at reduced rates

Dine in Limerick Restaurant Week is being held in conjunction with the Restaurants Association of Ireland.

It will lead to 20 of the most popular restaurants in the city and region offering promotional rates and evenings with a difference.

The event will offer diners unique culinary options with promotional three course menus plus tea/coffee priced at €25 and €35 — a reported saving of at least 20% on normal prices.

Every evening, customers will be presented with a Dine in Limerick menu featuring locally produced top quality food with great dining options.

Monday to Wednesday are family nights when children eat free in all restaurants with their parents.

Padraic Frawley, chairman of Dine in Limerick Restaurant Week said the event will raise the food profile of the region and local producers.

He said: “We initially held our first Dine in Limerick Week last June and it was a great success. It drove food tourism which is a huge growth strategy for the future and also provided the opportunity to drive footfall into the city centre. We want to continue to actively promote Limerick and the mid-west as a region with quality food, wine and many great dining options to choose from.

“We’re confident that the week will be a success with a pricing structure which represents fantastic value, particularly at the weekend.”
