Fleischmann Choir to raise their voices in Germany in honour of beloved composer

A LEADING choir will perform in Dachau, Germany, this weekend as part of special celebrations marking the centenary of the birth of Professor Aloys Fleischmann after whom the choir is named.

The 170-strong Cork-based Fleischmann Choir will perform the Mass in honour of St Finbarr, written by the composer’s father, Aloys G Fleischmann, at the church of St Jakob on Sunday morning.

That evening, the choir will perform Dvorak’s Mass in D at a special concert in the church.
