TV chef to focus on promoting fish in midlands

A TV chef will embark on a new mission later this month to persuade Irish people to eat more fish.

Martin Shanahan, the star of RTÉ series Martin’s Mad About Fish, believes fish consumption has shot up by 20% since his first TV outing earlier this year.

But the Kinsale-based chef said he is going to target inland counties in his new TV series which will begin filming in two weeks – as less fish is consumed there than anywhere else in the country.
