Kenny adds top FG rebels to his team

ENDA Kenny moved to head-off talk of a fresh heave against him by doling out jobs to leading rebels last night.

Arch critics like Brian Hayes and Lucinda Creighton were given high profile junior posts in the Fine Gael shadow cabinet as Mr Kenny attempted to bring the heavily divided party back together.

The move means that only eight of the party’s 51 TDs do not now have an official role – and some of those, including long standing Kenny critic John Deasy, turned down a post.
