September conditions warmer than usual

THE only bright spot for the country’s near half million jobless for the month of September was that weather temperatures were two degrees higher for most of it according to the weather experts.

The past month shows it was warmer nationwide but “wetter than normal almost everywhere with sunshine near normal”. September combined periods of dry, settled conditions with spells of very wet weather giving some record-breaking daily falls of rain at some stations.

Temperatures were about two degrees higher than normal for most of the month but cooler weather developed.
