500,000 cigarettes seized

OFFICERS from Revenue’s Customs Service in Tralee last night seized 500,000 cigarettes, 130kg of hand rolling tobacco and over 1,000 litres of suspected counterfeit vodka.

The seizure, which is a part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting the supply and sale of illegal cigarettes, has a potential retail value of €300,000. &

A vehicle was also seized and two men in their 40s have been questioned.
