GARDAÍ believe it is possible that a taxi driver bludgeoned to death may have been murdered by somebody who stole his day’s takings.

Up to 50 gardaí are involved in the investigation into the murder of 62-year-old Michael Healy, who was found in the bathroom of his top-floor bedsit flat last Thursday morning.

A postmortem carried out by State Pathologist Professor Marie Cassidy revealed that the separated father-of-two died from a blow to the head.
