A YOUTH who died after an accidental fall was described by garda sources as one of the main suspects in the murder of a teenager who was stabbed to death in Killarney in June 2009.

Shane Regan, aged 18, of Fossa, Killarney, died on Thursday. He was one of a number of suspects arrested after the fatal attack on Stefan Lyne near his family home in the Ross Road area of Killarney. A garda source said Shane Regan was one of the main suspects in the fatal attack on Lyne, aged 17.

After the arrest of Regan and a number of others, a file was sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
