Survey to check if viewers need digital TV switch aid

THE Government is to commission a survey to establish if households relying on analogue signals for their TV reception may require financial support to upgrade to digital terrestrial television.

The Department of Communications this week sought tenders to carry out a report on how viewers currently access TV channels.

The department has sought applications from interested parties to carry out an analysis of the current geographic and demographic TV reception mechanisms.
