No heave against Cowen after Fine Gael fiasco, says Lenihan

THERE will be no heave against Taoiseach Brian Cowen because Fianna Fáil TDs have realised how hard it is to remove an incumbent leader, Junior Minister Conor Lenihan has said.

The brother of Finance Minister Brian Lenihan said party members had learned their lesson from the unsuccessful heave against Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny.

“The failed coup against Enda Kenny was enough to damp out any lingering enthusiasm for a similar move within Fianna Fáil.
