Second body found in Clare

GARDAÍ in County Clare are investigating whether the discovery of a man’s body in the sea near the Cliffs of Moher yesterday is connected with the death of a German musician last week.

The body was spotted in the sea at the base of the 700ft high cliffs by an American couple. The alarm was raised at 1.30pm and the body was recovered at 2.30pm.

Gardaí have not ruled out a link between yesterday’s discovery and the death of a German man whose body was found in the sea near Kilkee last Saturday.
