Lotto couple pick up €5.2m cheque

LADY Luck was smiling on the rebel county as a delighted Cork couple picked up their Lotto jackpot win of €5.2 million from Wednesday night’s draw.

The couple, who wish to keep their identity private, had heard the winning ticket had been sold in Ryan’s SuperValu in Togher but never thought it could be them.

“It was on local radio all day yesterday – ‘Lotto won in Cork. Check your tickets now,’” explained the lucky wife.
