Technical fault hits BoI service

USERS of Bank of Ireland’s Banking 365 service were unable to access their account details for two hours yesterday after a technical fault shut down the system.

The problem, described by the bank as a technical issue, meant customers were unable to access telephone or internet banking services between 1.30pm and 3.30pm, when the issue was resolved and the system restored.

The bank apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused by the problem.
