Noonan admits FG plan will not deliver 105,000 jobs

FINE GAEL’S new finance spokesman has bluntly admitted that the party’s much-touted employment plan won’t create as many jobs as leader Enda Kenny claims.

Michael Noonan said he did not believe Fine Gael’s “NewEra” plan would deliver the 105,000 jobs promised by Mr Kenny.

Mr Noonan said the figure appeared nowhere in the actual policy document itself, and instead was “some kind of public relations add-on that enthusiastic people attached to it”.
