Tiernan night of storytelling and comedy to be festival highlight

COMEDY genius Tommy Tiernan will stage a unique night of storytelling and comedy in one of the highlights of an arts festival in west Cork.

Organisers of the Skibbereen Arts Festival, which runs from July 18 to August 1, confirmed that the multi-award winning comic will take to the Town Hall stage on Friday July 30 to tell folk tales, parables and myth all mixed in with his own flights of fancy.

They have also lined up a series of film and sound events comprising the enchanted works of Guillaume Beauron, Kevin Brew and The Quiet Club.
