The man was a Portuguese national of Asian extraction. Gardaí are trying to establish if he sustained head injuries during a row. The body of 44-year-old kitchen porter Alberto Bo Ken was discovered in the flat in the harbour town last Sunday.

The discovery was made at about 5pm by Mr Ken’s landlord who had not seen him for four weeks. Gardaí sealed off the area for technical examination and a postmortem was carried out on Monday at Cork University Hospital by Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster.
