Wire stars to stake out castle for wedding

STAR of the hit TV series, The Wire, Dominic West will marry a Co Limerick woman at her family castle on the banks of the Shannon Estuary tomorrow.

The setting could not be more removed from the slums of Baltimore where hard-drinking, bed-hopping Detective Jimmy McNulty, played by West, works a crime-ridden beat.

Many of his co-stars from The Wire will attend the wedding in Glin Castle, home of the bride, Catherine FitzGerald who is a daughter of the 29th Knight of Glin, Desmond FitzGerald and his wife Madam Olda FitzGerald.
