Romance keeps village’s recession at bay

ROMANCE is helping keep the heritage picture postcard village of Adare sweet and rosy in the depths of the recession.

The three local hotels have up to 250 weddings booked this year, with a spin-off of up to €25 million.

And more than 80 of these wedding ceremonies will take place in the 13th century Holy Trinity Abbey Church in the centre of the village.
