Mother and daughter christen babies on same day

IT was christening with a difference – mother and daughter wetting theirbabies’ heads on the same day.

Leighanne Crowe, 21, and her mother Laura, 41, had double reason to be proud yesterday as they held their bouncing bundles of joy, Ellie and Morgan, in front of friends and family.

“We are all so delighted, this is one of the happiest days of our lives,” said proud first-time mum Leighanne.

“It’s one of the best things that’s ever happened to us,” she said.

Leighanne’s daughter, Ellie, is a niece to Laura’s new arrival Morgan – who must surely be one of Ireland’s youngest aunts.

And not only that, but Leighanne is baby Morgan’s new big sister.

“I’m the youngest granny too,” said mum Laura, who has three other children – Jennifer, 16, John, 15, and Bonnie, 3.

“I’m so proud of my daughter Leighanne who has had a beautiful baby girl Ellie. They are the best daughter and granddaughter a mum could ask for,” she said.
