HISTORY was made in New York last night when two Irish women became the first Travellers to sing at the world famous Carnegie Hall.

Selina O’Leary, aged 19 and Liz Connors, aged 36, who are both from Carlow, were invited to perform at the venue after a video of Ms O’Leary’s performances was posted on YouTube.

They sang at the concert entitled Discovering Abilities in front of an audience of nearly 6,000.
