BRIAN LENIHAN has revealed his cancer treatment is “robust” but it has not prevented him getting on with the job of finance minister.

In the most candid comments about his condition so far, Mr Lenihan said he did not yet make his prognosis public, but things were going well.

Mr Lenihan revealed in January that a blockage including cancerous material had been found at the entrance to his pancreas, but said he did not intend to give updates on his condition but would resign if he felt it was preventing him doing his job properly.
