THE parents of Irish twins Hassan and Hussein Benhaffhaf have appealed to the media for privacy as their babies continue their recovery after last week’s separation surgery.

Angie and Azzedine Benhaffhaf said they were upset by approaches some media outlets have made to members of their extended family in recent days.

The family said they appreciate the level of interest in their boys’ progress but said some contacts have been “both intrusive and insensitive”. Angie said London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital was handling medical updates and she asked for the calls and approaches to her family to stop.
