Officials ask for Twitter and Facebook classes

SERIAL tweeter Dan Boyle may soon have competition in the online world.

Despite criticism from some quarters over the Green Party senator’s frequent comments on the social networking site, Dublin city councillors have formally asked for help in following his path.

As part of a new training programme for public representatives called for under Department of Environment guidelines drawn-up in early February, the local authority asked its members to outline key public access areas they were struggling to understand.
