Fine Gael TD calls on ESB to waive charges for flood victims

Fine Gael’s Cork South Central TD Simon Coveney called on the company to waive its charges as a “goodwill” gesture to those whose homes or businesses were badly damaged in the flood.

“There are a number of homeowners who still haven’t been able to return to their houses due to flood damage. There are many more flood victims with de-humidifiers on 24-hours a day. At an absolutely minimum, and as a gesture of good will, the ESB should be waiving electricity charges for households and businesses that have suffered significant flood damage,” he said.
