School quiet on Galvin duster incident

MANAGEMENT at St Brendan’s College, Killarney, yesterday declined to comment on reports that no disciplinary action is to be taken against GAA star and teacher Paul Galvin, who was involved in a duster-throwing incident.

In a brief statement yesterday, the college said it would be inappropriate to comment on any matter that might affect a student or a member of the college staff.

A 15-year-old student was hit on the face by a blackboard duster thrown by Mr Galvin while he conducted a class in St Brendan’s College, Killarney, where he is an Irish teacher.
