Taoiseach ‘every faith’ in Finance Minister
When announcing details of his illness earlier this month, Mr Lenihan cited medical advice that he was “fit to continue to fulfil” his duties and said he would do so by cutting back on public engagements and focusing on the “essential constitutional functions of the job”.
Speaking on RTÉ Radio yesterday, Mr Cowen he had “every faith and confidence” in Mr Lenihan’s judgment on the issue.
