THE head of the Health Service Executive (HSE) has warned that pending industrial action across the health service will have a massive impact on services.

Speaking on RTÉ Radio yesterday, Prof Brendan Drumm said, if the planned action compromises patient care, the HSE will look at disciplining those involved.

“In situations like that we clearly have to prioritise patient care and if care given to patients is undermined we will have to deal with that in a disciplinary way.”
