IRELAND’S bizarre weather is set to turn to another extreme by the end of the week, with forecasters predicting temperatures will reach April levels by Friday.

After three weeks of arctic conditions, wild winds and heavy snow and rainfall, Met Éireann’s latest outlook report has claimed the country will see temperatures rise to 12C within the next 48 hours.

Since the start of 2010, Ireland has been faced with lows of -12C in the midlands, blizzards in Dublin city, heavy flooding for the third time in two months in West Cork, and strong gales whipping across the country.
