THE husband of a woman who was allegedly imprisoned and abused by her stepfather for more than 10 years has hit out at social workers and the DPP for the way in which her case has been dealt with.

Dubbed the “Irish Josef Fritzl” case, the woman, Catherine, claims she bore five of her stepfather’s children, and reported the abuse to the HSE who did nothing to help.

Following emotional interviews with two of the woman’s children earlier this week, her husband, James, yesterday spoke out too.
