‘Rolls Royce’ of goldfish business venture unveiled

THE country might be struggling to keep its head above water but some, it seems, have no problem splashing the cash... for Japanese fish.

Landscape gardener John Hegarty, who specialises in ornamental ponds, unveiled a new business venture yesterday – selling koi, the Rolls Royce of goldfish.

Mr Hegarty is the first person in Ireland to offer authentic koi for sale here and in these carping times, he hopes his new venture will introduce some serenity to our lives.
