Labour: Minister holding up expenses reform

LABOUR last night accused Finance Minister Brian Lenihan of holding up reform of the Oireachtas expenses regime.

Mr Lenihan insisted yesterday that further reform of the expenses system was on the way, but Labour TD Pat Rabbitte last night released details of a series of proposed reforms which Mr Lenihan has yet to implement.

Mr Rabbitte is a member of the Oireachtas Commission, the internal body that runs Leinster House.
