Grassroot Greens want improved NAMA deal

GREEN PARTY grassroots members are piling pressure on their parliamentary party negotiators to fight for an improved deal on NAMA, as the coalition partners fine tune a deal on a new Programme for Government.

Greens Against NAMA (GAN) explicitly threatened the party leadership yesterday with a statement saying the splinter group will try vote down the new Programme as a means to topple the Government’s assets management plan.

The party’s negotiations team met yesterday to work on specifics of the programme with the three-person Fianna Fáil panel.
